Summerfest on Park Avenue, Hot Springs, September 13

Park Avenue Hot Springs

September 13, 2014

September’s Fest includes the “Great Park Avenue Treasure Hunt” at 10AM.  Pick up a list of clues at the Hot Springy Dingy.  Follow the clues to each business or location “Uptown” or “Downtown,” pick up a specific item at clue location, collect all “items” and return to the Hot Springy Dingy.  Winners collect prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place)

A 7 block festival designed to showcase the beauty and safety of Historic Park Avenue.  Park your car and walk the avenue.  Enjoy an ecclectic mix of food, crafts and gifts with entertainment and fun for the entire family.

Merchants and residents of Park Avenue are teaming up to present a series of Festivals on the beautiful, tree lined street on the second Saturday of the month throughout the summer. There are several big parking lots that lend themselves to a festival atmosphere, including Park Place Baptist Church and The Tower of Strength Church, as well as a wonderfully eclectic assortment of businesses who plan to offer sidewalk sales and entertainment, as well as sidewalk cafes for the day.

Park Avenue is a beautiful part of our community that we have worked very hard to bring back to its glory days, and we want to share it with the world. It is a natural extension of our downtown area that we prefer to think of as ‘uptown’. There is plenty of parking available in the 7 block festival area, or you can simply park your car at one end of the avenue and walk.

There will be vendors offering crafts, jewelry, tie dye, metal and wood crafts, an organic dog wash, bicycle repair, organic fruits and vegetables as well as plants and flowers. When you get hungry you will find food vendors and restaurants with smoked ribs, tacos, pizza, ice cream, hamburgers, hotdogs, candy from every area of the world, and MORE! Entertainment will include music, live POTTERY demonstrations and a Plen Air Alla Prima Painting Party.

Location: 100-700 blocks of Park Avenue
